Decorating is overwhelming, and expensive. I found myself at Big Lots the other day and I was like how did I get here. Oh right, I'm poor, that's how. Surprisingly they had some good stuff though. Cute pillows even. Their beds were expensive though, I was like nice try Big Lots, you're no Target okay?
Anyway this is the color scheme I've decided on for my living room. Keep in mind it is in need of color.
I already have this.
And I'm thinking about getting this rug.
Thoughts? I kind of wanted to take it easy on the orange though, so I'm afraid this might be a little much. But I do love it.

I love your colors! They seem tropical. And I think orange is best as an accent color, like that lamp is perfect. Didn't your mom's dishes for your birthday kind of go with your color scheme?
Sometimes you can find decent stuff at Big Lots--I have gotten many a Barbie accessory there.

Yes the dishes do match, my mom the planner. I mentioned the colors to her awhile ago and she didn't let me down.

I don't think two pieces in one color is too much for a room. The lamp will help tie the rug into the space.

Thank you! I got the lamp at The JCPenney Homestore. It was on sale, $20! They had a lot of other great colors too.
