First we boiled the eggs. I cracked two of them right off the bat when I mistakingly thought the eggs would gently drift to the bottom of the pot when I dropped them into the water. Apparently not learning my lesson after the first one sunk like a rock and made an audible cracking noise.
When were the eggs done we wondered? Rachel thought it was when they floated, Chad had some sort of egg-spinning maneuver that he swore by. Zach pretty much just stood over the boiling eggs and looked creepy:

We had to send the boys for vinegar and more eggs. They came back with vinegar but forgot the eggs (?) so we each had eight eggs to color. I cracked two as I mentioned, and two were already cracked when we opened them, probably because we bought the eggs at Target. You might think we were going to a lot of work just to color two eggs each. You are right.

We got to work though, and everything was going swimmingly.

Chad tried to do the classic half-and-half colored egg with orange and blue. This technique was more challenging than he remembered however, and he accidently submerged his half blue egg into the orange dye. He was happy with the result though, dubbing it "blorange".

Zach scribbled all over one of his eggs with a white crayon declaring, "this doesn't even work." Predictably, he ended up with a mostly white egg, the dye finding little non-waxy surface area to stick to. His face dropped as he lifted his egg out of the green dye, we thought this was funny:

Basically, we ended up with eight ugly eggs. Like maybe the eight ugliest eggs in the history of Easter.

Lol, I like them! I love the picture of Chad laughing and Rachel laughing with face in pillow.
12:35 PM Erica: I am famous. in other words: Tartraz. Ever heard of it?! yeah.
lol I stand by my statement Jihone.
So it's pretty sad when you guys color eggs, and me with three kids does not. SAD. I've discovered we get all excited about our exotic colors and then the eggs never actually get eaten.
Anyway, I think if an egg floats it is rotten?
Cute piccys Caca.

I like Zachary's hair cut. 15 minutes to boil an egg, no tricks needed.
I loved the laughing picture and how 4 silly 20+ year olds still like to color Easter eggs...I miss when you and Griff were babies!
