I want to wear yellow shoes with my wedding dress, but finding a cute yellow shoe that is dressy enough, i.e. not patent leather, is actually pretty hard. So I decided I'd also settle for navy shoes; but I'm still having a hard time.
1. Formal, and perfect color. $235 (damn you JCrew).
2. Not sure if I love these. $75
3. I like these, but I wonder if they're good for spring, they seem kind of fallish to me. $65
4. I actually ordered these, but they're more gold then yellow, and the flower looked a little...stupid; so I returned them. $83
So if there's any yellow shoe maker elves out there reading my blog, I need your help.

This is probably pretty stalker-like of me to comment...b/c I love reading your blog, but don't actually know you. But, have you looked at Nine West's "Falcoin?" ($82.95) It's pretty similar to that last shoe, minus the flower. Also, Nine West "Argent" in yellow satin($82.95)is fun. Anyway, you're so hilarious! I hope you don't mind me lurking on your blog; such an entertaining read!
I'm with Chris... I liked #4. And actually liked the flower.
But who am I to comment on this, the last pair of shoes I bought, were from Payless.
Yeah, I liked the last ones, too. But I see how you could've thought the flower was a little too, um, Mother's Day-ish. I hope you find the perfect ones!
I would take the advice of The Lurker. They are both good choices: yellow, not patent leather, sans the flower, and can be worn again if necessary/desired. Great lurkers think alike!!!(wait... thats not how it goes...)
Navy! EEK I vote for yellow Converse. Question: What color of nail polish do you wear with yellow shoes? Yellow+Black=EmoTaxi, Yellow+Red=ShortSchoolBus, Yellow+Orange=YellowFreightTruck...I don't envy you. Endless decisions...my head would explode!
