At 23, I am part of the coveted demographic of TV advertisers; the 19-35-year-old age group. I take my job very seriously. Impress me with a catchy commercial or snazzy packaging and I more than likely will want your product and gladly hand over my money. I am not ashamed of this. I appreciate your creativeness, advertising department; and I am here to reward you.
However, I will purposely avoid what you are selling if your commercial annoys me. The latest commercial on my nerves is by Acuvue. I feel like the meeting to make this commercial went like this:
Advertising Suit #1: "What are the kids using these days to talk to eachother?"
Advertising Suit #2: Web cams?
Advertising Suit #1: Genius! All those 18-34-year-olds LOVE web cams. I bet they talk on them all the time! I bet they don't even know what a telephone is! Crazy kids!
Note to Acuvue, here is who uses webcams: pedophiles. and almost-pedophiles. Pedophiles, people who will become pedophiles, and young computer nerds confused about their sexuality accidently talking to pedophiles in chatrooms.
Here are the people who don't use webcams: young and attractive twenty-something-year old women to talk about eye contacts.

I've never heard something summarized so perfectly.
Take THAT Acuvue!
Oh, and if your ears are ringing, it's because I said that I love your blog, on mine. But my post is really, really long (because I apparently have nothing better to do with my time) so I'll just show you where to look- the last few lines.
well, I'm no pedophile but my brother is in China and Skype is the free way to talk to him and we can see each other at the same time. He watched the suns game over skype yesterday. So...sorry erica normal people use webcams too. But I agree with the advertizing side of the post...I literally judge books, real books, by their covers and other various products from advertizing.
Don't comment if you're going to disprove my theories Casey.
LOL- this is a hilarious post. Thanks for the laugh.
This post made my day.
haha so sorry
