The week of the wedding I got the bright idea to add these monogram/lemon vases to the ceremony decor. Zach was concerned I was adding unnecessary confusion and taking on too much so close to the wedding, I responded, "Oh silly Zach, it's just a last minute little project." They were a pain in the ass. Going to my nemesis store Ikea, buying the stools, putting together the stools, painting the stools, finding the vases, buying the lemons the day of my wedding, not finding the right sized lemons, sending my dad to Costco for the right sized lemons, buying the ribbon, cleaning lemons, cursing the lemons, cursing myself, and so on. But they turned out cute I think, they were also filled with water before the ceremony, and they looked even better.
And these may look like innocent chairs, wrong. The chairs provided by Arizona Historical Society are well, hideous. So I borrowed a friend's chair covers and rented a few more. Well they didn't fit. So here is my plug for Liene and Blue Orchid Designs. She was the wedding coordinator that I won in the contest a few weeks back. She was A MIRACLE WORKER. If you are planning a wedding I recommend her to anyone! She took care of the chair crisis and had these new chairs delivered only hours before the wedding was about to start; and I didn't even know about it! She saved the day several more times before the day was over. Thank you Liene for everything!! I don't know what we would have done without her.
Exhibit A, here she is cleaning my dress. My train got pretty dirty dragging around on the brick, another little snag of the day, but I guess there was no avoiding it. This is my concerned face:

My bridesmaids were the best! Here they are bustling around helping me in the "getting ready room", and here's my bridezilla face apparently:

Don't they all look beautiful!? My mom kept telling me that I have the best girlfriends in the world, I couldn't agree more.

Heidi not only was a bridesmaid, but also catered and is with child you might have noticed. She is a superhero basically. And the food was divine!
A few more pictures:

Me and the "moms"

My brother Griffin escorting my mom down the isle.

The adorable flower girls!

Walking down the isle with my dad was one of my favorite moments of the wedding.
There may have been a few details that didn't go exactly as planned, and a disastrous DJ who played "Red Neck Woman" at one point, but I hardly noticed.
Because on May 9th, 2008, I became Mrs. Young, the happiest girl in the world.

Congrats Erica! You looked amazing! The details are FAB! Glad you had a great time. And yes, we all know Heidi is wonderwoman. I think they were handing out that attribute and I missed it because I was probably sleeping!!
So enjoy all the fun now.
Okay, this is so stupid, I'm CRYING!!!! Why in the hell am I crying, I don't even know you!
It looks like it was amazing, and I hope it was everything you dreamed it would be. Yes, I've stalked you, but I could tell from the first post I read of yours that this was going to be the outcome.
Now, If you'd only taken my advice and posted a link to things you wanted, you could have TOTALLY had a new couch, compliments of me. I feel like I owe you for all the laughs you've given me.
(and yes, Chelsea told me she saw you and you ratted me out about being a stalker. I'm pathetic, what else is there to say?) :)
Congratulations!
For some reason every time I saw you with your Dad, and even the pictures of you two together, I just bawl! Your wedding was so beautiful and I didn't realize those E and Z displays were so much freakin work! Your wedding planners were awesome (Dave was hitting on the assistant, but that is another story for another time), and you and Zach looked sooooo happy, and that's what really mattered, literally at the end the day.
And you were a stunningly gorgeous, shimmery bride, I cannot wait to see the pics.
*hugs*
CONGRATS!! You two are just too cute together.. All the decor looked absolutely perfect. And you were definitely a glowing bride! Way to go Mrs. Young.. :0)
Hi CALAlina Youngerina. How Was the snorkling in the Bahama's...you did make Zach get in the water regardless of shark fears, right? I want to hear about it! And yes, your wedding was perfect. I loved it. The lemon monograms added and looked worth the hastle, you and zach looked perfect and HAPPY, the food, the weather, the flowers, the pleasant guests, the wish jar, your pictures, the ceremony, and D.j. Okay, you don't even know how many times I would tell my sisters "I can't wait until Erica comes back from her honeymoon. I miss her blog." So we need to see lots of amazing pictures of the Bahamas stat!
