When I get home from work I’m usually in a pissy mood. That’s just the way it is. I’ve just finished driving in rush hour with a stick shift, I’m hungry, I feel office-grimy from my full day, and it’s hot outside, too hot.
So pre-married days in my little apartment of isolation, I would come home, put on a t-shirt and underwear (i.e. summer uniform), grab a snack and watch HGTV. This was my ritual and it worked. About an hour later I’m cooled off, belly full of popcorn, and ready to be my usual cheerful and pleasant self (shut up).
This is what happens now with a husband that gets home before me:
“HEY! You’re home! How was traffic? Do you want a snack? How was your day? Why are you in a bad mood? Are you mad at me!? Why are you mad? I didn’t do anything! What do you want to do tonight?! What should we do for dinner? Why are you in a bad mood!? What’s WRONG?!”
And that’s before I can even take off my sweaty bra.

LOL, usually it's the other way around--the bedraggled husband and the clingy wife. Zachy will catch on quick, though. The first year is such an adjustment!!
So true! But it is the other way around for Craig and I. Iam stuck socializing with a one year old all day, so I attack him when he gets home, ande he hates it.
There's nothhing worse than a sweaty bra.
OK, there are worse things, but that's beside the point. I love hearing about your adjustment to married life....

Tim comes home with bloodshot eyes, his spit cup and dry cleaning. I let him chill for a few minutes then declare the t.v. viewing for the night.
