Pictured* above is the world’s newest decorating fanatic. Well that could be an overstatement, but he is coming around. Lately, I've been a little obsessed with decorating our apartment, and he gets the privilege of hearing me talk about it all. the. time.
So the other day I was talking about our need for a coffee table; I was mentioning different styles that I liked, talking about prices and stores, pretty much discussing a coffee table from every angle one can discuss a coffee table. And then he said, and I quote:
"Yeah, and you know, we should get a nice rug for in here."
I stopped dead in my tracks, stared at him with my eyes wide and my mouth open, and then said, “I LIKE where your head is at.”
Do you realize what this means?! He no longer thinks all our money spent on home décor would better be spent on zombie movies! He understands that we cannot live in an empty white box! He is a believer. He is converted. And I am the missionary of home design.
* Photo is unrelated, but makes me laugh, so there it is.

1. Who is Jonathon Adler?
2. His initiation will be complete when Zachary logs in 20 hours of HGTV per week.
Oh, Zachary, welcome home. :) :)
His initiation will also be complete when he calls curtains "window treatments". Oh wait, that might mean something else....
I am in disbelief. I'm convinced that this is how my "decorating" talks sound to Brad.
Malia: "Ok, so I think we should mumble mumble mumble mumble mumble costs 50 dollars mumble mumble mumble."
Well done! Can you teach me your tricks so I can talk my husband into some new things for my house?!?
Good job converting! And I love the picture. Rockband is the best. Call me a nerd, but I love it.
It took Brandon three years to get to that point, Zach is quick! Be warned though, because next comes the part where he thinks it should look a certain way and he is completely wrong and you have to have the "now, sweetie" talk. I think my exact words to Brandon were "STOP! YOU HAVE NO SAY ANYMORE!" So there's that, anyway.
