So here is the cabinet that I've wanted to rip down since we moved in.

So we unscrewed it and then realized it was still glued to the wall; so I got up on the counter and started yanking on it and suddenly it dropped down with a crash and almost broke my foot, awesome. Then Zach yelled at me for being overzealous, also awesome. But the point is we got it off the wall, and it looked like this, pretty:

Then we got to work.

Pegs helped.

He was very proud that the first shelf was done.

Then the serious business continued.

This was the chaos off to the left.

And then, they were finished!! And only a couple of marital fights!! That means a successful home improvement project in my book.

Come re-design my house. Please.
AMAZING!! I love seeing more pictures! Seriously looks so good, and I love that Pegs was laying on the boxes in the sun, lol.
I agree with Ashley, I wish daily that you would come and organize...
It looks fantastic. And you did the whole thing in one day. You guys need to do this for a living!
Pegs is an excellent helper.
i've been blog stalking you for awhile and just thought i'd come out of the woodwork and let you know that your kitchen looks amazing.
you should seriously consider becoming an interior decorator. your taste is flawless.
Caca, you and Zach should have your own HGTV show.
The workers at Ikea are like Oompa Loompa's, you never see them.
I need to come see your new shelves and your exterior paint.
Okay, first up, the shelves are adorable. And secondly, good move on taking out that cupboard. That was the stupidest looking thing ever! Who's idea was it to have it not be even? Because they should be kicked in the nards. Way to spruce it up.
It looks amazing! I know how wonderful it is to redo some things in the kitchen. It sucks while your kitchen is all torn up but in the end you love it! And then it's all worth it.
Um, those look amazing and are a 10,000% improvement. I love Ikea.
so much better than that cabinet.. but almost as good as the mental picture I have of your 90lb frame standing up on the counter yanking at the cabinet to get it off the wall :) Thank you for the image in my brain it made me laugh.
ps- my cousin Melissa says kicked in the nards?! I'm not sure how I feel about that.
Such a great idea! I only wish we could spare our cabinet space...or had stylish dinnerware to put on display! I love the Y lettering by the way!
