I will have to disagree with everyone. I think it is so fun! And if you haven't experienced the craziness of Black Friday, well you need to try it just once.
The first year we were married Jason and I were trying to score a big screen TV and Jason and I were at different stores waiting in line at who knows when in the morning ready to call eachother if we got the deal we were looking for. And we did get one.
Last year a bunch of my friends were going in Iowa. I didn't have anything I was looking for but it was seriously fun.
I think you need someone to go with to make it worthwhile.
I agree with Chelise. Black Friday is kind of hilarious and so are the people. Usually I'll go through the paper with family and check out what stuff we want and scope out the stores we want. I've bought dvds for really cheap before, pillows, toys and random stuff.
I love it. It's fun and you can get some smokin' deals. Sleep is totally overrated anyway. I'm starting at Old Navy at 3am and it just snowballs from there.
I also am a fan. I'll do just about anything for a deal. Sadly, I'll be in Show Low for the beloved day and all there is up there is Walmart and Dollar General. I found this list online of the best places/deals (online and in store) to shop on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
If your wondering if your life would be better for experiencing Black Friday the answer is yes. By a lot. I am most surprised that your mom wasn't classy enough to drag you out of bed at 3 AM during your adolescence to almost get trampled on by smelly cat ladies at Wal-Mart so she could use your nimbleness and small size to buy a bunch of stuff she didn't need. Because I thought that was normal.
(Sorry, this is turning into a blog post) One time a hispanic Wal-Mart employee was helping us load a TV in the trunk of our car but the box just wouldn't fit. So instead of going to get a knife to open the box (or even a car key) he raised his pinkie and with his 2 inch long pinkie nail he cut the box open. Add that hispanic pinkie nail to your list of things that will give you nightmares.
... One last thing, glad you liked Dexter. I don't want to dissapoint you but season 4 so far is making me nervous.

I second my mother.
This is what happened the last time I ventured out on Black Friday:

It's a nightmare, Caca. You have to be there at 5 or 6 in the morning to get the deals and there are mobs of people. Seriously avoid if possible.
People are EVIL on BF... stay home in your bed and enjoy your day off!

Also, be prepared to run in the stores, lol.
