Tomorrow is her birthday, and you wouldn't believe her age even if I told you.
In honor of this occasion, here are some mom responses that make me laugh. What I mean by a "mom response", is when certain topics come up - I know exactly what she will say. I usually think them in my head while she is saying them:
When I remind her I don't like tomatoes - "You don't like tomatoes?!!!!!"
When I remind her I don't like fish - "You don't like fish?!!! Me and Griffin love fish. Griffin loves salmon."
When the topic of my car comes up - "How are your tires?"
When she asks me what size shoe I am (I've been the same size shoe since about 10th grade) and I respond that I'm a size 8 - "You're a size EIGHT?!!! That's big!!"
When I tell her something at her house is cute - "Do you want it? Here you should take it."

She makes me laugh unintentionally and intentionally. When she sees something I might like, she buys it. She lets me talk her ear off when I'm stuck in traffic. She is proud of me even when I'm not doing anything significant. She loves Angelina Jolie and hates Jennifer Aniston. She always has an umbrella when an umbrella is needed. She is beautiful, loyal, smart, hilarious, giving, loving, and if I ever become a mom half as good as she is - I will know that I've done well.

For the record this year will be the last of my roaring 40's.
Thank you sweet daughter. You make parenting easy.
I love you.
Happy pre birthday M dawg!
Your mother is like a walking little debbie cake, delicious, petite, and makes people of all ages happy.
I love this. What a perfect tribute. Happy birthday, Michelle!!!
She is still as cute as she was in Jr. High school.... and she still makes me laugh so hard I sometimes pee my pants.
Michelle - let's make this a year to remember... send the 40s out with a bang and invite 50 in with joy.
So, how do we do that? :)
Genial post and this fill someone in on helped me alot in my college assignement. Say thank you you as your information.
What a sweet post! I love your mom. She is hilarious, let us act out several funny scenes for her on a daily basis (those from tv/movies and those in real life) and enlightened me on a lot of those "sensitive" subjects while growing up--those things my mom didn't get around to telling me. :) Love it. Happy B-day, Michelle!!!
Every word of this is true. Your mom is a wonder and a marvel and my best friend.
You forgot "You're sick? It must be allergies." lol
I wish I was there to celebrate. :(
