Turns out I still rememebered how to make one of these:

That's right. A paper fortune teller. You know what I'm talkin' about.
I told them it would predict what they were going to be when they grow up, the results were: fairy, princess, queen, cowgirl, genie, and magic flower princess. I made that last one up. I told them they'd get a flower wand if the magic flower princess was their destiny. Makes sense.
Did they like it? Let's just say I was pretty much a rockstar that day. The challenge will probably be getting them to listen to the normal lesson next week instead of demanding the fortune teller. Dear parents, sorry your child's spiritual well being is in my hands.

Magic flower princess? You're definitely on the road to apostasy (not that there's anything wrong with that)
You can teach my 4 year old anytime. Except she's nearly 28 now....
that's awesome...i want to be in your class.
this week me & my class of 14 year old boys consumed an entire bag of pixy sticks and talked about their love lives. pretty much the only thing churchy that was accomplished was me telling them that they probably shouldn't have love lives.
I handed out Skittles in my class and and let them talk about themselves for about 40 minutes. I will try the fortune teller next. :D
lol lol lol Brilliant.
Good luck next week trumping that.
Reminds me of when I was teaching the 16 yrs olds and we played "Who Wants To Be A Mormonaire?"
That's hilarous! I can just imagine the girls parents asking them what they learned at church and they answer- "I'm gonna be a princess when I grow up!"
Eme's still very excited that she got to be a princess both times.
Way to think on your feet, I may have to try that one w/ my class.
This is super cute. I have a primary website, and I'd love for you to share some of your ideas there, if you're interested.
