Ghirardelli Square. I was under the impression we would be taking a tour of some sort of large Willy Wonka type factory, and kept rushing everyone through the shops so we could get to "the tour". My mom finally set me straight. No factory. Chocolate dreams crushed.

We are tourists.

Very much tourists.

Best straight-arm awkward picture of the trip.

Zach contemplating Alcatraz.

Mother-daughter tulip shot.

PS I find as an Arizonan I just get pissed at pretty flowers like these. Like oh you just thew some tulips in the ground and they are just growing and being awesome and aren't fried? Good for you stupid California. I'll be over here with my freeway lantana if you need me.
FATS!

Laughing at the fatty seals.

They smelled really bad.

We went to the Ferry Building on Saturday so that we could partake of samples at the Farmer's Market. Zach got really obsessed with the fresh oysters and kept trying to convince everyone to try them. Both mom and Griffin got one as far as almost touching their lips before handing it back to Zach uneaten.

Dinner at the Stinking Rose. Our breath smelled like garlic for days.

Waiting for breakfast so we can stuff our faces again. At each meal we were usually planning our next meal.

Bay bridge. Why is my arm behind my back like a soldier?

Taking the ferry to Alcatraz, Zach is really excited or really ugly; you decide.

Zach taking the Alcatraz tour.

Still at Alcatraz. Mom said, "Make sure you get my cool Alcatraz bag." before I took this picture.

Mama's - 45 minute line and life changing french toast.

Hungry and a little grumpy still waiting in line at Mama's. "Let go of me."

Remember how she's 50? Yeah no one believes her.

Weirdos testing furniture at CB2.

Happy birthday mom! Let's celebrate your birthday with a trip every year.

Oh I want to go back! I told Tim this was the best trip ever (his checkbook might not have agreed).
Damn west coast cities lol!:
"Good for you stupid California. I'll be over here with my freeway lantana if you need me."
The sights and food were amazing, but the best part was having my beautiful kids with me.
Tim was very proud of us for not being fussy :/
Looks like so much fun!! Happy birthday, Michelle :) You don't look a day over 35.
LOL to the lantana comment...
I love your holiday posts. You should go away more! :)
You are looking luscious and Zach is looking adorable. And your mum always looks cute.
And I love your yellow scarf.
Michelle will always look like my younger sister. :( She seriously looks 20 years younger than she is!
That trip looked so fun. SF is one of the most beautiful cities on earth.
Whatever! I had some very good lighting.
Awww...happy birthday, Michelle!! Glad you all got to get away and celebrate!
