Bedroom Makeover

There is this mirror at Pier One that I have been lusting over, it was $125 though so I tried to forget about it. Then one fateful day, I went into Pier One on my lunch break, and it was on sale! For $30! Hooray!

I was so happy with my bargain, that I transformed into the crazy lady who talks to strangers at stores as if they are her best friends. You know the kind. This innocent woman was looking at the twin of the mirror I was about to buy and I was all "THAT'S ON SALE FOR THIRTY DOLLARS! THIRTY!!" (*large grin) She walked away from me quickly.

I was going to hang it up myself, because I am handy like that, but Zach wouldn't let me because it is a heavy mirror and he said, "it'll fall on your head while you're sleeping." Fair enough.

Bedroom 1
At first it was light hearted mirror-hanging fun.

Bedroom 2
But then it was serious business mirror hanging time and he requested I stop taking pictures.

Bedroom 6
Which of course, I didn't.

Bedroom 8
Wait is that Heidi Klum?! Oh no, it's just me. Being pretty. And excited about my THIRTY DOLLAR mirror.

Bedroom 4
Ta da!! Except that wall needs some touch up paint, shhh.

Bedroom 5
Then I moved my big "E" over here.

These few adjustments made me very happy the rest of the night, even when Zach looked at dirtbikes on Craigslist for 5 bajillion hours.

Frankly, anyone who doesn't accept a heads up on a phat steal at a store is a ho.

I love Pier 1. I, too, got mirrors I'd been eyeing on sale. Not quite $30 sale - but more than 50% off PLUS a 20% off coupon. So pretty darn cool.

That star mirror looks lovely above your owl-pillows. WHY IS YOUR BED STARING AT ME???

that was supposed to say owl-EYED pillows. Stupid me for not previewing first. I'm not going to preview my comment this time either.

Love the mirror and the mirror nightstand - how many other mirrors do you have in your room? Any on the ceiling? Just curious.

That "E" brings back memories of when your dad brought that home about 20 years ago - Your mom decorated with it cute too - you come by it naturally.

Love the mirror! I thought Zach already had a dirtbike???

Yes, that "E" was lovingly painted pink and adorned with stencil flowers, why Erica had to ruin it with black paint I will never know.

I want to kidnap that mirror and hang it in my bathroom. Does zach swear profusely when hanging things? Tim is worse than a sailor.

Michelle, a pink stencilled "E" would simply no go with the decor....kind of like Mom's pink matted pictures. :/

that is one great thing about living with a man, I LOVE having david fix, pound, trim, paint, hang, drill, saw and plumb for me. there are lots of other great things about living with a man that I won't discuss here.

your house is so cute! really, really, really cute. I always knew your style was awesome, but I love how you also show off your awesomeness through home decorating.

looks like your bedroom is missing only one more permanent fixture...

I have a lot of jokes about "nailing" someone here.

I'll let you fill in the blanks.

its a good thing you just rent zack. if you owned him your room would not be nearly as cute as he would cast a layer of boy yuck (read: dirtbike magazines, dirty socks, sports memorabelia, open drawers (pun intended)) everywhere.

I saw the same mirror at Wal-Mart for $10 ... just kidding ... it's cute. Disclaimer: I don't really go in Wal-Mart (yet-to-be-numbered phobia)

You're one of those jerks that has lots of cute things that you find for crazy cheap that make suckers like me jealous, because I just sigh and hand over money figuring that there really are no other options. It looks adorable by the way. And yes, I know the feeling of something making you so estaticly (sp?) that you become a chatty in public person. I end up kind of hating myself afterwards when I realize how I acted.

WAY cute and fashionable mirror. Again- the offer of you decorating my house (when I finally buy a house... of course, by then, we'll be in our late 60's) is still on the table. Your room is so adorable!

PS- I just realized that I heard your voice for the first time on Friday (that sounds creepy, huh? sorry). It was much more girly than I expected- seeing as you're really, really funny on your blog with your monotone-ish hilarious writing skillz. (ok, now that sounded mean, huh? sorry again.) Your skinny jeans were very attractive, seeing as how only like two girls in the whole USA could pull them off- you being one, Heidi Klum the other. I say USA because Asians can pull off anything in fashion.
