This is Zach's scrap of leather that he calls a wallet. He received it when he was on his mission, notably four years ago. He won't get rid of it because it holds sentimental value. A cute little boy named Kevin Sye gave it to him when he was a missionary, after he had noticed that Zach had a cheap velcro wallet.
I've begged and pleaded with Zach to buy a new wallet several times, but he always responded with one of the following exclamations:
"Kevin Sye gave me this wallet!!'
"Kevin Sye, with a twinkle in his eye, gave me this wallet!"
"But Kevin Sye!"
"Kevin Sye, with a TWINKLE IN HIS EYE!!!"
Recently however, Zach lost his debit card and had to go through the hassle of canceling it and replacing it, due to the fact that his wallet can barely hold anything anymore. He finally admitted it might be time for a new one.
So as one of his Valentine's gifts, I gave him a new one. This picture was right before he retired the Kevin Sye wallet. Which he will still keep in a safe place I am sure.

okay ....i'm sorry...you don't have to forgive me today but sometime soon please. I finally opened my blog and caught myself up on your posts since who knows when. It's my own loss that i didn't read the last month or so's posts earlier...they are charming and witty as usual. I am glad that you found use for douglas the cat and that you won that wedding contest...what did you win again? Anyways I thank you for making me laugh. I will now have to catch up on other people's blogs, then eventually someday I might post on my own again. It took me all sunday morning to make it through yours...but I enjoyed every minute of it.
Ok, I am seriously leaughing so hard at the Kevin Sye quotes.
apparently zach and devin have the same school of thought which is if they repeat the same thing they already said over and over but with more emphasis they will win the argument. awesome.
