I was thinking I have nothing to blog about because lately all I’ve been doing is going home, making dinner, and watching TV. But then I thought, “I know! I’ll blog about TV!” That’s the kind of genius stuff that keeps you coming back here for more.

First of all, let’s talk HGTV shall we? If I was a woman (I am) and HGTV was a man (it’s not) I would make sweet, sweet love to it. Zach and I watch House Hunters, Property Virgins, and My First Place all the time; essentially they are three different shows with the exact same concept. Boy do we love watching people shop for their first house; we can’t get enough of it. One thing I’ve learned from these shows is that everywhere in the United States has cuter houses than Arizona.


The other show I would like to discuss is Parks and Recreation. This is my favorite show on TV right now. I think it is entirely underrated. Well the makers of this show can rest easy now, they have the endorsement of Tartraz behind them. Now you can sit back and watch the ratings CLIMB, TV execs.


Every single character on this show makes me laugh. But my favorite right now is Tom.


Let's read some Tom quotes. You have nothing better to do anyway.

Tom: "All I want in life is to own a nightclub on every continent, have my own line of upscale sweatsuits and cologne called Tommy Fresh and I fell a thousand dollars short."

Tom: "This VIP card gives you exclusive access to the investment opportunity of a lifetime. Where? Multipurpose room F. When? 3 p.m. Dress code? Black tie optional. Just like life."

Tom: "I want to open up my own club one day, maybe call it something like Club a Dub Dub, or the Club Marine. Sort of a submarine-themed club. Or Tom's Bistro. The word bistro is classy as %#@$"

Tom: "I meet a girl at a bar. She seems kind of into me, could go either way. I get her number. It's two days later. What do I text her?"
Zack: "It was nice meeting you?"
Tom: "No, Zack. I don't text her it was nice meeting you. I wait eight weeks and I text her, 'what's crackin'"
