I read this book recently. The story is good so it's one of those books you whip through in about 24 hours. The writing didn't blow my mind though.
The reason I am even mentioning it is because it's being made into a movie and according to IMDB the main character will be played by....wait for it.....Robert Pattinson.
Methinks my interest in the book has just been REVIVED.

Sorry. I'm not that impressed with Robbie. I don't find him that attractive. However, the book sounds like it would be good, and I'm sure I will still go see the movie. And probably love it.

I've been reading your blog for a while and have never commented, but it was a surprise to see that someone else has read Water for the Elephants! I really liked it! I would never have pictured RobP in the role though... I love him but I hope he doesn't mess it up!
