--When I'm concentrating on my work (read: internet surfing) and I distractedly put a pen in my mouth; and then suddenly realize several people have been using their grubby hands to touch that pen and it's currently in MY MOUTH.
--Un-vacuumed carpets
--A toothbrush (read: Zach's toothbrush) laying in a stagnant pool of water next to the sink, rather than properly put back in the toothbrush cup.
--When I smell like outside. I've also heard this called playground smell. Rachel calls it "smelling like sunshine" but I think that sounds much too pleasant.
--While we're on smells: sour kitchen rag smell. How does this happen? An innocent piece of cotton that I use (with soap!) to clean, and somehow it becomes the most foul smelling piece of ass that has ever existed. Major mystery of science.

I've been tempted to put Justin's toothbrush on the floor next to the toilet, to show him how gross it is to leave it in a puddle of nastiness on the bathroom counter. Although I'm not sure how that would show him. But it would make me feel better about the whole thing.
I concur. I will add:
Kitchens that smell like old grease.
Clutter and knick knacks.
For the record, Rachel got "smells like sunshine" from our house. We made it up. And don't get me started on the mildew smell. It is my nemesis.
Quick way to get rid of smelly wash cloths - add a generous sprinkle of baking soda to your detergent then a 1/4 cup of white vinegar to your rinse cycle (I just throw it in where you are supposed to put the bleach) - wash on hot and viola! No more stinky wash cloths.
Here is a better way to get rid of smelly rags: throw them away. Every rag in my mom's house smells "Like Dish" is what Philip says, and even if she swears that she just got it out of the drawer and it has been washed, it still does. My solution: I use sponges and Clorox Wipes. And when the sponges smell slightly like Dish, I promptly throw them away.
Yeah! I can be alittle like Erica - those gross me out too, well, except the unvacumed carpet. Ive got rather use to that.
We prefer to call it "wet-dog" - nothing like sunshine.
so, this is a bit stalker-ish, but oh well. I found you via klick-here (high school friend) and love your blog! I added you to my list of links, hope you don't mind :)
